As a speaker, ladies would ask me for the book that accompanied my teaching. “I’m not a writer.” I’d reply. In 2014, I attended a writers’ conference through the prompting of a friend. I felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to create books from my speaking notes. My first attempt was horrible. I asked for honesty from my editor. “If I wanted to read that much Scripture, I’d pick up my Bible, Cherrilynn. People like stories.” I took his advice and added testimonies and real-life events to my book. I shed the mask and my vulnerability poured onto the pages. My prayer is when you read any of my books or blog posts, you experience the love, wisdom, and joy of our miracle working God.
